About Rosie

"You can have a yard that looks amazing and still protect the fragile, beautiful environment that makes Cape Cod so special."

I started my landscaping company when I returned home to Cape Cod after living and working on a permaculture farm in Hawaii. That experience changed the way I see land, soil, and our relationship with nature. I learned firsthand how a self sustaining system works, not just environmentally, but emotionally and spiritually as well. Working closely with the land deepened my understanding of soil biology, plant relationships, and the importance of honoring natural systems rather than forcing them.

Cape Cod is my birthplace, and coming home felt essential. I wanted to continue my path here in an environmentally rich and fragile place I care deeply about. At the same time, I wanted to be present for my younger sister during her middle and high school years, grounding myself in family while building something meaningful.

I started my business simply, with a pair of pruners, my Mazda Protégé, and a clear intention. I had hands on landscaping experience from working in high school with my mother’s midwife, and I slowly grew a client base through community connections, including people I met through yoga classes. With the support of friends and family, the business grew organically. Over time, I was able to invest in a truck, a trailer, and additional help, eventually turning family into employees.

Like many small businesses, growth was not linear. There were seasons when building the company took a back seat to raising babies and caring for young children. That time mattered deeply and shaped me, but it also slowed the outward expansion of the business. Now, with my children in kindergarten and fourth grade, I have entered a new season. I have the time, focus, and energy to return fully to the original reasons I started this work and to grow again with intention.

My mission has always been to care for the Cape by working with the land, not against it. I believe our yards and gardens are living ecosystems. When we prioritize soil health, thoughtful plant selection, and natural water systems, we support birds, bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects, and in turn, ourselves.

I do not spray or sterilize landscapes with harsh chemicals. There are natural techniques that work, including compost and compost tea, plants that support pollinators, and practices that strengthen the soil microbiome. Healthy soil grows resilient plants, and resilient plants create balanced landscapes.

I love helping people reconnect with the earth in ways that feel accessible and joyful, whether that is a wildflower meadow, a native garden, raised beds for growing food, or simply a lawn and garden that feel safe for bare feet and children at play.

Everyone deserves outdoor spaces that are clean, nourishing, and alive!
